1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Account & identity: name, mobile phone number, and email address (if you provide one).
- Authentication: one-time passwords (OTP) sent to verify your phone number. We do not store the OTP after verification succeeds or expires.
- Delivery details: delivery addresses, location notes, preferred delivery slots, and order instructions.
- Orders & payments: cart contents, order history, payment status, and transaction references. Card or UPI credentials are processed by payment partners (for example Razorpay / UPI apps); we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Device & app data: device type, OS version, app version, and push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send order and delivery updates.
- Usage & diagnostics: basic analytics and crash/diagnostic logs that help us keep the app reliable (for example Firebase Analytics where enabled).
- Support messages: information you send when you contact support by phone, email, or in-app help.
3. How we use information
- Create and manage your account and verify your phone number.
- Process, fulfil, and deliver orders; communicate about slots, status, and issues.
- Send transactional notifications (order updates, delivery alerts). Marketing messages are sent only where allowed and where you can opt out.
- Improve products, pricing, delivery coverage, and app performance.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; comply with law.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
We process personal data to perform our contract with you (orders and delivery), with your consent (for example optional notifications or marketing), and for legitimate interests such as security, service improvement, and customer support — balanced against your rights.
5. Sharing of information
We may share data with:
- Service providers who help us run the Services (hosting, databases, SMS/OTP, email, analytics, push notifications, payment gateways, maps/delivery tooling).
- Delivery partners as needed to complete your order.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
We keep account, order, and delivery records for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account data (see below); some records may be retained where the law requires.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (including encrypted transport / HTTPS and access controls) to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a device you trust and keep your phone number secure.
8. Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Your rights & choices
- Update profile or address details in the app where available.
- Disable push notifications in device settings.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@chopzzy.com.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing where consent was the basis.
10. International processing
Our infrastructure and vendors may process data in India and other countries. Where data is transferred, we take steps appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law.
11. Third-party services
The app and website may use third-party SDKs and services (for example Firebase, payment providers, SMS OTP). Those providers process data under their own privacy policies when they act as independent controllers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
